Faiza Thompson is a Registered Social Worker who qualified in South Africa. Currently in a role as Hospital Liaison Practice Leader for Oranga Tamariki/Te Toka Tumai. Faiza worked in the Child Protection field in South Africa, UK and NZ. Faiza has 23 years’ experience working in statutory social work. Faiza worked as Social Worker and Supervisor and now Practice Leader. Faiza is passionate about children but more so the development of Social Workers and promoting collaboration between agencies who work towards ensuring the safety and wellbeing of children as well as, and more so, the whanau who has the care of children.
