Steve Evans

Paediatric Surgeon and Urologist, Starship Child Health
Steve trained in adult and paediatric surgery in Scotland and the North of England and was appointed as a Consultant Paediatric Surgeon at the Royal Hospital for Sick Children in Edinburgh in 2008. He has been a Paediatric Surgeon at Starship Hospital since 2009 and has been Service Clinical Director since 2014.

His main interests are thoracic surgery, surgical oncology and minimally invasive surgery, particularly in the neonate. 

​The Trauma Service at Starship is embedded within the Paediatric Surgical Service, and the management of chest, abdominal and multisystem trauma comprises a significant proportion of the acute workload within the department.
