Hatty Evans

Paediatric Social Walker, Starship Child Health
Hatty is a paediatric social worker supporting oncology and haematology whānau on Ward 27B of Starship Hospital. She has 2.5 years of experience in health social work in New Zealand, including roles at Te Puaruruhau and Ronald McDonald House. Prior to this, Hatty spent 10 years in England working for an NGO supporting families with children living with lifelong, complex health journeys thrive in their home environment. Her professional approach centres on ensuring the safety and wellbeing of children, while providing culturally sensitive, trauma-informed care. Hatty is dedicated to guiding families through challenging times with empathy, advocacy, and practical support, fostering resilience and trust in the healthcare environment.
